Statistics show that many of us may have a higher death rate due to the high prevalence of obesity.
That is a fact. We don't have the numbers for COVID because it's an ongoing health emergency and because china & Italy do not have the rate of obesity as the US & India,
But, if we look at the data of the h1n1 pandemic in 2009, obesity was an independent factor for death. Also, we currently know that people with obesity have less of a response to the flu vaccine.
